The ancient capital of Cyprus lies in the southwest coast of Cyprus, around 50 km west from Limassol with population around 50.000. With its beautiful fishing marina, harbour and medieval fort combines the historical sites, picturesque  countryside and cosmopolitan holiday resort. Because of city’s historical value UNESCO added the whole city to World Cultural Heritage List. Paphos International Airport is second largest airport in Cyprus and maintains around 2 mln customers a year.

Paphos city is the capital of Paphos district and the fourth largest town of Cyprus. The upper part of town hosts all governmental services, schools, hospitals, and big shopping centres.

Kato Pafos, the lower part of Pafos is the main tourist area. It focuses around the picturesque fishing harbor and medieval fort. Restaurants, fish tavernas, cafeterias, souvenir shops, beautiful hotels with important archaeological sites around them make this part of Pafos one of the hottest tourist destinations not only in Cyprus, but in Mediterranean as well.

The most important place to see in Paphos and whole Cyprus as well is Byzantine Mosaics dated from 2nd through 5thcentury which are located next to the harbour. Next to the mosaics we can admire carved out of solid rock underground Tombs of The Kings ornamented with Doric pillars. Paphos has a Subtropical Mediterranean climate with hot and dry summers and cool rainy winters. Summer season begins in May and finishes in October or sometimes in early November and weather during this period is sunny every day and rain is uncommon.
